Pin designers are the ones responsible for taking artwork and transforming it into a pin. Sometimes pin designers make their own artwork (in which case, they're both the "pin designer" and "artist" for that pin. Sometimes, they use artwork created by others (and are only the "pin designer").
Tags with the "(pd)" suffix are pin designer tags. Tags without that suffix that refer to pin makers refer to the artist who drew the concept for the pin.
